Folding three=way connector for vehicle headlamps - has sockets formed of resilient rectangular shells to top of which double T-pieces are affixed

Connecteur pliant pour phares codes et analogues

Abstract

The device facilitates the automatic assembly of vehicle electrical headlamp connectors. Connector sockets are fabricated in the form of rectangular shells (10,11,12) from a slightly elastic material. The shells are joined in a row by rubber bridges (20,21). Fixed to the top of the central shell is a moulded double T-piece (23). Upper and lower branches have projections (13,16) forming covered recesses (14,17) with one inclined face. Each of the two outer shells is equipped with a pair of projections (18,19) whose ends are shaped so as to fit in the recesses in the T-piece moulding. When assembled, the two outer shells can rotate about the rubber bridges, which act as hinges, and snap into the central moulding to form a single connector block.
